Whiskey Barrel RIS
Tonight we moved my RIS into a Jack Daniel's whiskey barrel. Here are a few pictures I took of the event. Beer should be ready to bottle in about 6 months and then some aging will need to occur before it can be drank. The Belgian Strong Dark that was racked out of it was wonderful and I can only imagine how it will taste with some age on it. It tasted and smelled heavy on the whiskey, was oaked very well and should end up wonderful once the whiskey drops out over a few months. I am hoping we get some oak with the RIS and not as much whiskey. We will see in the coming months.
